Chemical coatings include conventional materials such as paints, varnishes, lacquers, and inks, along with advanced techniques like sol-gel coatings, electrophoretic deposition (EPD), and chemical vapor deposition (CVD). These coatings provide a wide range of benefits, including aesthetic finishes, chemical resistance, and surface protection. Techniques like spray coating (combustion and plasma), dip coating, and spin coating offer versatility for mass production, providing uniformity and customization for specific needs. Chemical coatings are used in industries such as automotive, construction, and biomedical devices, where both functional and decorative qualities are required.
